This event is held annually on the last Friday of June. Please join us on the lawn of Historic City Hall, overlooking the east end of the Sault Locks and the St. Mary’s River.

This is a spectacular opportunity to experience an incredible variety of events within 24 hours and within walking distance of each other!   The Arts, Crafts, and Family Fun Fair (10A-5P) is right in the middle at 225 E. Portage, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.  To the east is the freighter-busy Sault Locks which allows the public to walk across the Lock walls of a 21 foot drop this one day each year (9A-4P).  The Locks include a beautiful park with a visitors’ center of historical and engineering exhibits.  To the east is the quarter mile long, 112 year old Cloverland Electric Hydroelectric Power Plant which opens its doors to the public this one day each year (9A-4P).    This engineering marvel now also houses Lake Superior State University’s Aquatic Lab which raises and releases 25,000 salmon annually.  Friday evening and Saturday morning events include Tug Boat races and a walk across the 2.8 mile International Bridge to Canada over St. Mary’s River.

Recent Arts, Crafts, and Family Fun Fairs were a huge success with over 10,00o attendees!  This year will be even bigger and more fun, so plan on over 50 high quality arts and crafts vendors, favorite foods, and kids’ activities from bouncies and balloons to intriguing adventures.  Count on local maple syrup items, traditional and creative hand held meals, assorted roasted nuts, and familiar hot and cold dishes.  Awesome artistic media will include photography, oil paintings, charcoal drawings, hand-woven and other fabric items, furniture, glasswork, beadwork, and jewelry.

Check out our currently running ad below which is on both TV 9 and 10 as well as Fox, throughout Northern Michigan.
